 Recommended Gear

  • A pair of boots can make or break your trip. We strongly encourage that our customers invest in a high quality boot to ensure the best hunting experience!

Our personal favorite: Brown "Selous" Boots

  • Aside from quality footwear, when hunting in the African landscape, pants that will keep you quiet, dry, and comfortable are a necessity.

    Lightweight pant option:

Our favorite pants to wear are the KUIU Kutana Stretch Woven Hunting Pants. We wear these pants in the Valo pattern, Ash, Buckskin, or Bourbon colors.

    Heavyweight pant option:

When the weather is cold or wet, we prefer to wear the KUIU Attack Pants in the Ash color.

  • Many people overlook the base layer when dressing for a hunt. However, it is by far the most important layer to keep you warm and dry during those long hunts.

We recommend the ULTRA Merino 145 Zip-T Hunting Shirt

  • A good mid layer piece of clothing is vital to providing extra warmth, keeping you dry, and staying quiet while moving around in the blind or stand.

On warm days, this can be used as an outer layer.

We recommend the Peloton 200 Zip-T Hoodie

  • When the weather is windy or cold, a insulated wind resistant outer layer is by far the most important piece of equipment for a hunter to have.

We recommend the KUIU Proximity Hooded Insulated Jacket in the Velo or Ash colors.

  • Anyone that has hunted in cold weather before knows that staying warm, means keeping your core warm. The best way to do this, is to wear a vest.

A vest is also a great way to eliminate bulk in the arm areas when used as a mid or outer layer on more moderate weather days.

We recommend the KUIU Proximity Insulated Vest in the Valo or Ash color.

  • Sure, you may still have that old school backpack tucked away somewhere in the back of your closet, however not all backpacks are created equal. When making those long hikes to our blinds, or tracking an animal, a comfortable, yet spacious backpack can be a game changer.

We recommend the Kifaru Shape Charge

  • If you own a pair of binoculars, a bino harness is a great accesory.

We recommend the Kifaru Bino Harness

  • Although not necessary, a high end hunting rangefinder can take the guesswork out of that shot you had to wait so long for.

We recommend the Sig Sauer KILO5K Rangefinder.

  • Hunting with the right bow is extremely important, especially when targeting big game like majorty of the animals in Africa.

Our favorite bow brands are Hoyt Archery, and Mathews Archery.

We strongly recommend a bow with at least a 70 pound draw weight.

  • An often overlooked, yet great to have item is a portable power bank. In many locations in Africa there may not always be power available. We also always carry a power bank with us when filming on cameras or our phones.

Our favorite is the Poseidon Pro- Dark Energy Power Bank.
